South Carolina State University's communications program has endured many changes over the course of a couple months. One of them being the absence of the communications' program valued professor, Ms. Pryor, who also was in charge of BNN. Ms. Pryor transferred to Valdosta State university this year and this has left Prof. Smith to take on the task of running BNN alone.
We caught up with Mr. Smith and asked him how the transition of running BNN alone is for him. His response was,"It's a little bit of a transition. The good thing about it is, that I found out about it over the summer and I was still here in Orangeburg when it happened. So I started talking with Mr. Benet and other faculty members to see how we could move forward. "
He also stated, "You know I'm very excited. Of course I'm missing Ms. Pryor's big project but they asked me to take over and I'm glad to takeover. I'm excited because I think this allows our program as well as myself to grow."

Other changes include the new equipment. The equipment that BNN has now are much more high tech and helpful than those of the past. As you see below there are new cameras.
When Mr. Smith was asked what the differences were in the studio he responded, "There is not a whole lot of changes, but we do have a set and backdrop that is going to be fixed up hopefully in the beginning of January. Also we're hoping to have some retouches on our green screen wall."
When asked what the differences was from last year and this year he said, "We're more high tech , ready for the web and ready for social media ! We are able to stream. We streamed the graduation last May. Also Mr. Benet streamed a press conference with the sports department over the summer. We're hoping that soon we can stream BNN directly to the web and social media."
